Diagnosis

Fore wing with two stigmal hair lines; dorsellum hidden under scutellum, not visible in dorsal view; coxae and femora dark and metallic. Similar to tristicha but fore wing with speculum closed below and with much denser setation, with postmarginal vein as long as stigmal vein, and with a “beard”, i.e. with hair on frons close to mouth. The single specimen has three pair of setae on midlobe of mesosocutum and two pair of setae on scutellum.
